We want to hear from you!

Ahhh, 2016…a new year, a fresh start, lots of New Year’s resolutions that will most likely fade away by mid February {I think we have all been there!}. But January is a good place to start fresh, and also re-evaluate things to see how you can improve. It’s always good to do a little self-evaluation around this time of the year in order to better yourself, or in our case “blog-evaluation”. We want to know how we can improve our blog, increase the quality of our posts, and make our readers happier! The best way to do that is to hear from you-all the people who read our blog, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and see us on Pinterest. We wouldn’t be anything without all of you, so we want to make sure we are giving you what you want! We would really appreciate any feedback you have for us so that we can make the blog even better in 2016.

-What you you would like to see more of? Anything you don’t care for?

-What is your favorite topic, or what topics do you think we should include regularly; should we include more recipes or beauty tips?

-How do you follow us primarily: through the blog, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest?

-Is the blog user-friendly? If not, how can we improve that to make your experience on Pretty in Peach better?

-Anything we are doing currently that you feel we can improve on?

Please tell us your thoughts in the comments section below or on Instagram! Happy 2016, we can’t wait to share it with you!

An Engagement Story

Happy Wednesday! It’s been a while since you have heard from us…and that’s been mostly because of me. It’s been a little crazy since I got back from my trip to Italy…because I got engaged! It was very exciting, and it’s been a bit of a whirlwind with seeing friends and family, and starting to plan! We will be back in the swing of things soon and have lots of great stuff coming  your way, but I wanted to share my engagement story with all of you.

As some of you probably saw from an earlier post and also from my personal Instagram, Jeremiah and I went on a trip to Italy for 12 days. We stopped in Cinque Terre on the coast for two days, then headed to a villa outside Siena for a week, and finally ending our trip with a quick two days in Rome. It was the most amazing trip I have ever been on! The second day we were in Cinque Terre, we hiked the trail that runs between the five little villages, walked around eating pizza and gelato, and enjoyed the sunshine and breeze. It was seriously the most perfect day. The views were amazing, like looking at a postcard!

That night, we went to have dinner in an old fort turned restaurant on the point of the cliff in Vernazza. (pictured above) If you love mussels, you HAVE to make a trip here to get them. They are fresh out of the ocean and served in a huge frying pan right out of the kitchen. Best mussels I have ever had, hands down.

We had the most delicious handmade pasta and seafood dinner and of course a good bottle of Chianti. It was getting a little windy, so we went inside to have dessert. If you know me or my boyfriend (ahem, Fiance!), then you know we are sweets people and dessert is our favorite part of the meal. After tiramisu, I was telling Jeremiah what a perfect day we had, and he grabbed my left hand and told me he loved me and asked me to marry him! I did the most awkward laugh cry, and said yes. I was secretly hoping he would propose on this trip, but when he did it, it took me completely by surprise. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! (so far!)

The next day we took a train from Cinque Terra to Siena to meet up at the Villa Jeremiah’s Mom had gotten for everyone. His parents, grandma, family friends, and my parents were all there, so we were able to share our special news with them. We spent the next week eating, drinking, and celebrating. It was honestly the best vacation I have ever had, and it was so special we were able to share with our families as well while we were there.

Toasting in Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italy.

I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this guy…he is such a good guy and I just don’t know how I got so lucky! He seriously makes me a better person. I will be sharing more of my planning and tips along the way, so be sure to check back as I share my journey!

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring All Out | Home Décor

Sure, spring is that time we all come out of hibernation…we start gardening and we start thinking about spring cleaning. But you should also make sure your house is not still hibernating and take a look at refreshing your décor. You’d be surprised what a few key pieces can do to organize and revive your home just in time for spring! Here are some of our favorite trends for Spring and some easy ways to add style back into your home.

  1. Clean out the clutter & organize with stylish sophistication like this 3-piece crate set from Wayfair.com. Organize your laundry room or even use these in your mudroom area to hold all of your outdoor activity gear now that spring is in the air. Make sure you sign up for emails and get 10% off your first purchase.
  1. Add fresh flowers for a touch of sophistication. We love these reed wrapped vases from Pottery Barn. You can easily make a modern room homier with these vases and make a traditional room a little more sophisticated. Make sure you keep these vases filled with fresh flowers and considering using them in rooms that need some brightening up like guest rooms and bathrooms!
  1. Mix wood and fabrics. The tufted chairs featured above are the next purchase I’m making. This is by far and away the best deal I’ve found on fabric, tufted parsons chairs. There is no easier way to update your space to make it a little more elegant and sophisticated than anything ‘tufted’. Loving the neutral fabric blend on this tufted parsons chair set.
  1. Combine patterns. Give your home effortless style by mixing patterns. Are you tired of your plain living room with that one patterned rug? Try mixing some fun pillows with a different pattern rug or find some curtains with a vibrant design. Check out Home Decorators collection for a million fun and affordable finds. Really loving this outdoor set, how cute is this?
  1. Try complimentary colors. Bold colors are the perfect accent to crisp, clean white décor. (Plus it can be easily changed out at any time for a quick and easy update) These aquamarine mimosa lanterns from ZGallerie are the perfect pop of color for any room. Pair it with a warm palette like creams and browns or cool colors like white and grey. I personally love these lanterns as a pop of color for outdoor spaces. Did I mention these start at $9.95.

Let us know what spring updates you are making to your home and any great finds that you have! We’d love to see pictures from your space and share any home decorator tips!

Thanks for stopping by!
