It’s Beginning to Feel a lot Like Christmas!

Happy Friday all!

Can you believe we’re only a little over 2 weeks away from Christmas? It’s been a mad dash to get my Christmas shopping done, but I’m just happy that it’s finally getting cold here in Georgia. And if you’re keeping up with the weather here, we were in a major drought, so the first sign of rain and I whipped out the Hunter boots! 🙂

There is no easier way to achieve the classic nautical look than with the essential striped pullover from L.L. Bean paired with Hunter boots. It’s an effortless and comfortable look that’s timeless and great for a busy day running around town. And the good news is, everything is on sale! Get this whole outfit for under $200.

So happy Spring is here! It was a little chilly on Sunday, but once the sun came out it was beautiful. This dress is one of my favorites…its such a flattering cut, and the keyhole detail on the side adds a little bit of character without showing too much. The side rouching looks good on everyone too! It’s also easy to dress up or down depending on where you are headed. I paired this olive dress with this clutch I just got from Francesca’s…they are having a great BOGO 50% off sale right now for Easter, so make sure to go check that out! I might have picked up a few other cute spring items along with it! These shoes are legitimately comfortable and very easy to walk in. They come in black and this cognac color, both great staples, and the black is on sale right now.

Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start!

“Sundowner” in San Clemente

I’m sure you all saw on Instagram, but I made a quick little trip to San Clemente, CA last weekend. San Clemente is a cute, laid back beach town about a hour north of San Diego. We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s grandma’s 80th birthday. I know an 80th birthday might not sound like the most fun thing, but let me tell you a little bit about Grandma Kay. Y’all, I want to be her when I grow up. Seriously. She walks 5 miles everyday along the beach {at 80!}, and travels all over the world. She has been to six continents multiple times; she is probably the most well traveled person I know. And she throws a great party! Her favorite place to travel is Africa; her absolute favorite is safaris. So for her birthday, she threw a party that was “Sundowner” Safari themed. {Traditionally, after you get back from a Safari, you have a cocktail and watch the sun go down, hence the name.}. She picked the most amazing venue, Casa Romantica, located in downtown and overlooking the whole town as well as the beach. It is the most beautiful Spanish-style house that serves as a cultural center and gardens. This place is seriously gorgeous. Swoon.

I wanted to share my “Safari themed” outfit with you as well, since everyone was requested to dress as if they were going for a Sundowner. I wore these amazingly comfortable cropped jeans, a military vest, and a bright beaded necklace to complete the look.

As you can see, it was super windy, since we were on the coast overlooking the ocean. It was a great time though, and I was so happy I got to be apart of her birthday. Just wanted to share a little tidbit of my trip with you! Hope everyone has a great start to their week!
