Wine Dress and Winter Ruffles

Hi everyone!

TGIF…we made it to the weekend! Weekends these days have been slam-packed with birthdays and holiday parties and it can be hard to find the perfect outfit. Do you go really festive with sparkles or simple with boots and jeans? I like to mix it up and dress down what could be considered a dressy look and vice versa. I recently found the dress below at Zara in New York with my sister. Zara is everywhere and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to battle the crowds, but I was so happy I did. I found the dress and choker below. I love it because it’s a frilled up shift dress that can easily be dressed up or down. Check out the links for more on this look and each of the pieces.

Be on the lookout for more holiday looks soon. Have a great weekend!

Sometimes at the end of winter I get into a rut of wearing dark colors, even though I’m ready for Spring to be here. I mixed it up a little bit with this neutral look that still works for winter. This ruffled hem top is such a versatile piece; it can be worn on it’s own or layered with a vest or cape. I usually wear it on it’s own because the ruffles are so pretty and I always get compliments on this shirt. It also has really nice texture to it as well. One tip though: I sized up from my normal size in this top as it runs a little small. I paired it with some cream denim and the softest suede knee high boots to keep it cozy. This shoulder bag is my new favorite bag…it’s a knockoff of a much more expensive one, but is actually a great color in person and looks so similar! And it’s only about $20! Steal.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!
